The Oracle DBA will support non-production Exadata environments, focusing on RAC management, performance tuning, database installations, and collaboration with teams for development support.
We’re seeking an experienced Oracle DBA to support a client’s non-production Exadata environment. This role will focus on Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and assist with Exadata setup and configuration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and high-availability architecture.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the setup and configuration of Oracle Exadata in non-production environments.
- Manage and maintain Oracle RAC clusters.
- Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies.
- Ensure database security, integrity, and availability.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support development and testing environments.
- Document procedures and configurations for future reference.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC in enterprise environments.
- Experience with Exadata setup and administration.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c architecture.
- Proficiency in backup/recovery strategies and tools (RMAN, Data Guard).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Experience working in non-prod environments supporting development/test teams.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
- Experience with Oracle ASM, OEM, and performance tuning tools.
