The consultant provides managed services support for Oracle Cloud ERP, SCM, and HCM, focusing on technical diagnostics, resolution, enhancements, and collaboration with functional teams to meet SLAs.
The Oracle Cloud Technical Support Consultant provides managed service support across Oracle ERP, SCM and HCM Cloud, owning the diagnosis, resolution, and implementation of technical fixes and enhancements across data, integrations, extracts, and platform components. The role is hands-on and delivery-oriented, covering investigation of incidents, root cause analysis, remediation, and minor change delivery, with strong emphasis on technical quality, security, and performance. The consultant works closely with functional teams and Oracle Support to meet SLAs, maintain technical standards, document solutions, and support end users and internal delivery teams.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support for Oracle Cloud ERP/SCM/HCM, including incident triage, defect resolution, and minor enhancements within a managed services model.
- Design, develop and support technical components including data extracts, queries, SQL/PLSQL routines, and platform artefacts (including OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts and OACS where applicable).
- Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across data access, security, performance, integrations/data movement, and downstream consumption.
- Perform root cause analysis, implement permanent fixes, and produce clear technical remediation notes and knowledge base articles.
- Provide technical guidance on development standards, patterns, and methodologies (coding standards, performance optimisation, security-by-design).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions, including small change requests and continuous improvement items.
- Produce and maintain technical specifications for delivered components, including logic, data sources, transformations, security model, and operational support notes.
- Execute unit testing and validation to ensure technical integrity, data consistency and reliability of delivered components.
- Support and enhance existing technical solutions, implementing optimisations and standardisation to reduce incidents and improve service stability.
- Work with Oracle Support and internal stakeholders to drive resolution of complex technical issues, including raising SRs and providing diagnostics/evidence.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and provide practical guidance/training to internal teams and end users as required.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and delivering technical solutions in Oracle ERP/SCM/HCM Cloud environments.
- Strong experience with Oracle Cloud technical tooling including SQL/PLSQL, data extraction, and working knowledge of Oracle Cloud data structures and security model.
- Practical experience delivering and supporting components such as OTBI, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts and OACS (as part of broader technical delivery/support).
- Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud data models across ERP/SCM/HCM modules, including technical dictionaries, relationships, and data lineage.
- Experience operating in a managed services / BAU support environment (incident management, prioritisation, SLAs, continuous improvement).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with periods of high pressure.
- Flexibility to support evolving Oracle Cloud technologies and changing technical delivery approaches.
