DEFCON AI is looking to hire an experienced Senior Optimization Analyst. You will be on the ground floor conducting cutting edge analytics in support of defense and commercial applications. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with a diverse team of analytic and subject matter experts. And you’ll have direct access to leadership to build strategic direction. DEFCON is a flat, fast-paced environment where you will lead not only at the strategic level, but also day-to-day by diving deeply into business, product, and technical domains.

Required:

  • MS, or Ph.D. in mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, industrial engineering, or related field
  • Experience formulating and solving mixed integer linear and/or non-linear optimization
  • Knowledge and experience with statistics and data science
    Programming experience in Python and/or R, including common data science libraries (e.g. Pandas, Numpy) and SQL
  • At least 5 years of experience using analysis to solve complex problems
  • Secret Clearance, ability to achieve a Secret Clearance required

Desired

  • Experience formulating and solving mobility/transportation problems
  • Practical experience applying AI/ML techniques
  • At least 10 years of experience using analysis to solve a wide range of complex problems

Salary Range: $165,000-$300,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience, skills, and other factors.
