OVERVIEW:
The Manager, Partner Success Consulting Services for the NA Channel is responsible, under the direction of the Vice President, Channels and Alliances, for coordinating and prioritizing the resources from the Partner Success team to support channel partners, alliance partners, and select direct accounts.
The Manager, Partner Success Consulting Services, is primarily focused on managing and leading the team but may also perform the duties of a Partner Success Consultant. It is expected that approximately 80-90% of this individual's time will be devoted to managerial and related team activities while 10-20% will be devoted to Partner Success Consultant activities.
OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:
Manage, mentor and develop Partner Success Consultants to grow their skills and maximize their value to Skillsoft and our partners.
Optimize the application of Partner Success resources to support the revenue objectives of the business unit.
Leads a team of Partner Success Consultants that supports our most strategic reseller and alliance partners. Considered a strategic resource and specialist in the areas of driving business and revenue results, the team works with Skillsoft partners to:
- Analyze their customer markets
- Consult on the development of a successful business plan
- Advise on best practices for creating a successful go-to-market strategy that includes pricing, marketing, and implementation and ongoing support to their customer base
- Provide solutions development consulting as an integral part of the pre-sales effort to identify and craft the best product mix for the partner's target markets
- Consult on the planning and deployment of the Skillsoft product solutions to ensure they integrate with the partner's technical environment
Participate in partner business reviews and other partner strategy and operational meetings
Collaborate with Customer Success team leadership to identify best practices for application in our partner business
Maintain productive relationships with Channels and Alliances Vice Presidents, channel and alliance Account Executives, corporate partner strategy team, and other key internal stakeholder organizations
Assign Consultants to accounts and balances account assignments for the team
Conduct ongoing, periodic performance reviews of team members
Conduct ongoing team meetings to share tools, resources, and best practices
Recruit, hire, develop, and inspire a high-performing team
Mentor, trains, and coach individual team members
Manage regional budgets and expenses
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
8-10+ years of prior experience managing a virtual team and processes within a sales department
Full understanding of Partner Success Consultant role, processes, and responsibilities.
Demonstrate an understanding of indirect/channel business with prior experience working in a channel role preferred
Strong understanding of channel ecosystem and the partner lifecycle, including pre-sales, implementation, post-launch, and ongoing support
Excellent skills in common MS applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other applications and collaboration tools utilized to conduct work in a virtual environment
