Job Description
As a Compliance Manager - Healthcare, you will be a member of Nuance's Legal team, reporting to the Director of Legal for Privacy and Compliance and working closely with her as well as with members of the privacy, commercial legal teams, IT Security, Sales, Product development, and other operational teams across the company. In addition to your primary focus on healthcare compliance programs, you will help create policies, procedures, guidelines, and trainings relating to healthcare compliance matters.
Responsibilities

  • Create and/or maintain compliance programs to support the Healthcare business (such as Medicare/Medicaid, antikickback, etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures and related training
  • Conduct compliance assessments
  • Assist with answering customer questionnaires
  • Assist commercial legal with understandings Nuance's ability to comply with compliance terms in commercial contracts
  • Assist with potential data breach incidents, any required breach notifications, and any required remediation
  • Provide structured formal and general awareness training for operational teams on compliance best practices
  • Work with the internal teams to assess compliance and develop procedures with the relevant businesses to address any risks


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of compliance, preferably with a multi-national corporation, technology or Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Substantive knowledge and experience in developing, implementing and maintaining compliance programs, policies, procedures and infrastructure under US Healthcare regulations



Skills:

  • Certifications such as CHC is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to communicate concisely to cross-functional groups
  • Ability to multi-task and to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organization, project management, and prioritization skills.
  • High level attention to detail, professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain confidences while working with sensitive, confidential information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus amongst cross-functional groups
  • Awareness of the importance and appropriate handling of confidential information
