Director of Fulfillment and Production Operations

About this roll*: (Responsibilities)
- Assist with build out and operational launch of our newest Toast Fulfillment facility.
- Working closely with our real estate and workplace experience team on design, construction, vendor and equipment setup.
- Develop, suggest and maintain relationships with vendors & suppliers.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with effective communication and follow through
- Recruit, train and onboarding of brand new team (ops reps, managers, leads)
- Establish and maintain performance metrics for all associated Fulfillment and Assembly Production Ops functions
- Partner with key stakeholders in R&D, Customer Success, and business leaders across the organization to provide strategic insight and recommendations
- Recognize and identify areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion
- Create and manage HW Ops budget and provide input in the administration of related budgets
- Provide leadership through strategic direction and active engagement to align Fulfillment operations functions and priorities with Toast business goals
- Foster a Fun, Customer Service type culture through active engagement, leadership, and a strong sense of accountability within the department
- Manage the use of NetSuite ERP, WMS and other related applications while scoping new tools
- Manage and communicate processes and metrics to enable highly transparent, credible, and impactful functions
- Align with IT and BI teams to implement and improve reports, system rules & workflows, dashboards, automated emails, and more
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Experience with ERP and WMS systems/implementation required
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Action-oriented, "can do" attitude with a proven ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization
- Strong motivational skills and effectual team building & decision making
- High level of integrity with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
- High energy and motivation to achieve results, and willingness to be independently entrepreneurial and a self-starter
- 7+ years of relevant work experience within Fulfillment, Production, complex supply chains, and strategies
- Evidence of enabling Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies
- Thorough knowledge of receiving, shipping, inventory systems, supply chain management, logistics, customer service, reporting, system analysis, equipment and warehouse functionality
- Strong local, community and vendor connections or contacts
