ABOUT THIS ROLE

You’re responsible for engaging and retaining our customers through their onboarding process. What does this mean? You’ll be providing consultative service to our customers from the close of sale to launch of their site. You’ll be proactively helping our customers work toward goals while being tasked with bettering our bottom line by driving retention.

GOALS FOR THE TEAM

  • Be driven and hardworking. Our people are all hands on deck all the time. Start-ups move quickly and there is a ton of opportunity, but it takes a lot of work to build a company that'll be around for the long haul.
  • Be helpful. Our customers should be successful in their use of our product suite. You need to be passionate about getting them there.
  • Be collaborative. Work with other customer-facing teams to understand the challenges and goals of the customers you'll be working with.
  • Be patient. Technology isn’t intuitive for all of our customers. You'll also run into issues that need to be escalated to engineering or product.
  • Be delightful. Meet our customers where they are and take on the challenge of turning unhappy customers into happy ones.
  • Be insightful. Analyze all of the information available to you, synthesize it and communicate your findings.
  • Be wrong once in a while. Learn from it and then teach everyone around you.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

At Placester we’re looking to hire folks who want to sit in a room full of bright minds who are excited to collaborate, problem solve and raise the bar. This is a great role for someone with 1-3 years of post-sales account management, onboarding or customer success experience, preferably within a start-up web tech or online product environment. Our people:

  • Are analytical. You geek out about metrics, ways to connect dots and measure your impact.
  • Are thoughtful. You view customer interaction as an opportunity for us to understand what we could be doing better.

HOW TO STAND OUT

  • You’re an online marketing guru (SEM, SEO, Social Media, etc)
  • You’re tech-savvy.
  • You’ve spent time in a web development shop.
  • You know the ins and outs of WordPress or other CMS.
