The New Ventures team is imagining the future of Tripadvisor by considering long-term trends in consumer behavior, technology, and competitive dynamics. The team is responsible for researching, building, piloting, and scaling new products for the company.

The Community Success Manager role is focused on growing, maintaining, and supporting a community of professional travel advisors. This is a multifaceted and dynamic role. Key core responsibilities include recruitment (including direct outreach to travel agencies and individual travel advisors), onboarding, communications, marketing, and quality assurance. You will also serve as the “voice of the customer” and collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to provide input on product roadmaps.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for travel and technology and have an interest in building a vibrant community of travel professionals. He or she will also have a strong bias for action, excellent interpersonal skills, and comfort with ambiguity. At the same time, the candidate should expect to receive a high level of support and mentorship from New Ventures leadership.

What You’ll Do:

  • Recruit, evaluate, and approve travel advisors
  • Onboard experts through a combination of online (and possibly in-person) training related to TripAdvisor’s software products and community best practices
  • Manage people
  • Monitor key metrics to assess community health
  • Monitor the community forum, providing guidance and resolving issues as needed
  • Manage marketing and communications, including recruiting campaigns on social media or other outlets
  • Manage relationships with travel agencies and other related organizations
  • Create and share relevant updates and content related to best practices, success stories, etc.
  • Serve as the “voice of the customer” for the community with the broader team to report bugs, identify product improvements, and propose new features
  • Collaborate with New Ventures product, design, and engineering teams and with other teams across Tripadvisor

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience
  • Prior experience in community management, marketing, and/or communications
  • Extroverted, people-oriented personality
  • Highly organized and self-disciplined
  • Fluent with social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Action-oriented individual who is willing to help solve difficult problems
  • Team player who can collaborate with teams across the Tripadvisor organization
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow
  • Love of travel
  • BS/BA required
