Channel Development Associate

EnerNOC has an immediate need for a Channel Development Associate to join our world class Sales organization. We are looking for a sharp, motivated individual who is committed to driving change under the banner of a successful and well-respected international company.

EnerNOC’s CDA will be responsible for growing the demand response business from channel partners. The CDA will speak intelligently on demand response and EnerNOC’s value proposition along with how our contracts and payments work, so they can support and grow our partner-sourced business.

The CDA acts as the main point of contact at EnerNOC for the partner, providing professional, reliable, timely, and accurate communications. The CDA is tasked with ensuring partner satisfaction and retention, driving partner engagement, along with providing an internal voice for the partner while working cross-functionally within the company to solve tough challenges. This role is fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic.

The ideal candidate should be ready to take on any challenge presented by the ever-changing energy marketplace and the growing partners program. We are looking for a candidate that is actively supportive of the company vision to change the way the world uses energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit new partners through pro-active outreach, qualification, and scheduling meetings for Channel Development Manager
  • Support on-boarding process for new partners including negotiating partner agreements, setting up partner accounts in our sales and accounting software, and planning kick-off meetings
  • Speak knowledgably about EnerNOC products, the competitive landscape, energy market trends and regulatory changes to help keep partners informed and engaged
  • Qualify and distribute leads from partners to the sales team in coordination with sales leadership and according to lead distribution policy
  • Effectively solve ad-hoc issues and coordinate support with other departments to reduce unnecessary friction for partners and to make it easy for them to work with us
  • Adopt and contribute to partner program best practices
  • Provide consistent, accurate, and timely reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate with clarity, comprehensiveness and accuracy

Required Qualifications/Education:

  •  M.S. or B.A. in business management, finance, communications, economics, energy/environmental sciences, or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience
  • 2+ years in customer facing role required (ex: Customer Support, Account Management, Sales)
  • Proven results in current role
  • Prior energy industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce and Excel preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Utilities, Netsuite, and Cognos a plus
