Firecracker is online education platform that is helping the next generation of medical students become physicians. We’re a small, collaborative team working in downtown Boston and we doubled our number of medical school partners in the last 12 months. We are looking for an intern to serve as an Academic Operations Associate. This is a contract position with the possibility of a full-time option after 3 months.

You will be a key part of Firecracker's Academic Operations team, which works closely with deans and faculty members at the most innovative medical schools in the world. As the Academic Operations Associate, you'll support members of the team with the following operational tasks:

  1. Managing student accounts & communication
  2. Working with our medical knowledge content team to create assessment items, quizzes, and exams
  3. Communicating student and assessment performance to faculty
  4. Working with faculty to understand their course & program objectives and aligning them to Firecracker's medical knowledge
  5. Preparing reports for faculty and internal team members
  6. Partnering with our product and engineering teams to evolve our institution and student platform
  7. Publishing case studies and blog posts that highlight our learnings

The ideal candidate will be adept at communication and willing to learn. Candidates will need to be flexible and to be able to complete pre-defined tasks on a weekly basis while providing customer support and internal support for ad-hoc projects. Comfort working online, and attention to detail is required. 

As part of this role, you’ll be trained on our internal tools, marketing/communication (hubspot, intercom) software and our account management process. You will increase your project management skills and learn about product management. You will become knowledgable of medication education from both the student and school perspective, accreditation and licensing standards, and the competitive landscape.
