Join our dynamic team as an Operations Systems Programmer II, where you will enhance and support the Building Management System (BMS), Electrical Power Management System (EPMS), and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) applications within our data centers. Working closely with Operations Teams, IT, and facilities management, you will ensure the integration and functionality of our systems are optimized for performance and reliability. This role requires a strong background in system programming, analysis, and a deep understanding of data center operations.

Responsibilities:

System Programming and Integration: 

  • Develop and modify programming logic for BMS, EPMS, and DCIM systems to enhance functionality and integration
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure seamless system integration and data exchange across platforms
  • Implement system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to data center operations
  • Develop custom scripts and interfaces to improve system efficiency and user interaction

Advanced System Analysis and Troubleshooting: 

  • Lead the support for SEV 2-4 incidents, ensuring rapid response and resolution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis (RCA) of Control Systems in our data centers
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of control platforms and analyze system logs, alarms, and data to diagnose and resolve complex issues
  • Implement corrective actions to ensure the reliability and stability of control systems
  • Develop and improve controls strategies, programs, and logic programming
  • Manage and maintain graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and ensure their functionality

System Optimization and Maintenance: 

  • Optimize controls performance and reduce nuisance alarms through system tuning and configuration
  • Regularly review and update system documentation, including system configurations, programming changes, and operational guidelines
  • Ensure all system modifications are well-documented, following industry standards and internal protocols
  • Provide detailed reports on system status, upgrades, and issue resolutions to senior management and stakeholders

Industry Engagement and Continuous Learning: 

  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Participate in industry workshops and seminars to enhance professional skills and maintain cutting-edge knowledge in control systems technology

Participation in On-Call Rotation:  

  • This position requires inclusion in the on-call rotation, providing remote support to address urgent system issues outside of regular business hours

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in programming and systems integration within a data center environment
  • Familiarity with key network communication protocols such as IP-based BACnet and Modbus, as well as RS485, is crucial due to their extensive use in our Building Management System (BMS), Electrical Power Management System (EPMS), and Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) applications
  • Extensive experience with specific platforms such as Delta, Automated Logic, Schneider Electric, including Foreseer and NEO
  • Experience with PLCs is a plus 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is necessary. This includes the ability to perform complex data analysis in Excel, create detailed reports and presentations in PowerPoint, and manage extensive email communications
  • Knowledge of data center infrastructure and operations is essential. 
  • 10% Travel. Occasional travel to various data center sites may be required for system deployment and integration

Education/Certifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
