The Opportunity

Newton Scientific (NSI) is seeking a dependable Operations Support Administrator to help keep daily business operations organized and accurate. You will support ERP transaction processing, customer communication, inventory administration, and general business needs while working across operations, sales, engineering, production, and finance. Training will be provided on company processes and ERP procedures. This full-time, hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Business Operations Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Maintain accurate customer, production, and inventory records by processing ERP transactions, including customer setup, production job updates, material consumption, and completed job processing.
  • Prepare customer quotations using established pricing and procedures, and obtain the information and documentation needed for quoting and order processing.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and collaborate with operations, sales, engineering, production, finance, and other internal teams.
  • Support the RMA process by reviewing available warranty information, coordinating product evaluation with engineering, and issuing RMAs in the ERP system as directed.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory-control activities by performing and recording counts, identifying discrepancies, and completing approved ERP transactions.
  • Monitor office and kitchen supply levels through weekly inventory checks and restock commonly used items as needed.
  • Complete assigned administrative tasks accurately and on time, maintain organized electronic and paper records, and protect confidential customer and company information.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of combined customer service, administrative, order-entry, or computer-based work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Professional written communication skills, including clear and courteous customer email communication.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate data entry and recordkeeping.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Associate's degree in business administration, operations, supply chain, customer service, or a related field.
  • Experience entering transactions or maintaining records in an ERP, MRP, CRM, or similar business database system.

Physical Requirements

  • Sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Move throughout office and production areas to support inventory counts and routine operational tasks.
  • Occasionally lift and move office supplies, inventory items, or materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Frequently use hands for keyboarding, filing, handling documents, and routine office tasks.

 

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $25 - $31 per hour. Compensation will be based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity. The final offer may fall anywhere within the posted range.
