Position Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations while ensuring efficient processes, high-quality customer service and alignment with company goals. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence, manage teams effectively, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The Operations Manager has responsibility for customer service and warehouse operations and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, meet customer demands, and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
•    Oversee daily operations across assigned Motion Ai locations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
•    Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
•    Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, identifying areas for improvement and driving corrective actions.
•    Support financial operations including credit, collections, accounts payable, location/facility and freight expenses.
•    Prepare reports related to customer inquiries, sales trends, customer complaints, delivery, or service problems.
•    Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Team Management
•    Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations staff, including warehouse personnel, customer service, and support staff.
•    Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
•    Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.
Customer Service & Support
•    Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
•    Address and resolve operational issues that may impact customer satisfaction.
•    Provides customer support including, order processing, advising customers of product shortages, expected delivery dates, and price changes.
•    Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support business growth.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
•    Assist centralized Supply Chain team with managing inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
•    Support procurement processes, including vendor relationships, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
•    Ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting using company systems and tools.
•    Oversees warehouse operations include order fulfillment, shipping, receiving and warehouse organization.
Process Improvement
•    Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
•    Leverage technology and automation tools to optimize workflows and reduce manual tasks.
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field is preferred.
•    5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the automation, manufacturing, or industrial distribution industry.
•    Experience managing multi-site operations is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
•    Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
•    Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on results.
•    Proficiency in inventory management, supply chain processes, and warehouse operations.
•    Experience with ERP systems and operational software is required, familiarity with P21 and/or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
•    Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
•    Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

Working Conditions
•    Primarily office-based with regular visits to warehouse and shop floor environments.
•    Travel between Motion Ai locations may be required (up to 25%).
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
