Company Description

Thruhike is a discovery, commerce, and ecosystem management platform that helps consumers find, save, share, and shop what matters to them while helping organizations better organize, activate, and monetize the ecosystems around them.

Through Thruhike and Vista, businesses, destinations, publishers, and community organizations can manage partners, businesses, content, offers, advertising, affiliate activity, commerce, and audience engagement in one connected system.

Role Description

The Growth Operations & Sales Lead is a contract, remote role focused on company growth, revenue, and operational efficiency.

This person will work closely with the founder to manage sales and partnerships, keep clients and opportunities moving, and build the systems and processes that help a small team operate effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the sales pipeline from outreach and follow-up through close, onboarding, renewal, and expansion.
  • Develop new business across Vista, marketplace, commerce, advertising, affiliate, and partnership opportunities.
  • Build and manage relationships with prospective and existing clients and partners.
  • Coordinate priorities and execution across product, engineering, marketing, and other team resources.
  • Maintain CRM, revenue forecasts, client status, deliverables, and company KPIs.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical systems, workflows, and automations.
  • Improve client onboarding, account management, and internal follow-through.
  • Help leadership prioritize opportunities and resources based on growth and revenue potential.

This is not a traditional administrative operations role or a standalone sales position. We are looking for someone who can connect sales, relationships, systems, and execution and take ownership of moving the business forward.

Qualifications

  • Equity-only and commission-only to start with potential for founding team seat
  • Experience in sales, business development, partnerships, growth operations, or operations.
  • Strong sales pipeline management and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through.
  • Ability to create structure and improve processes in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Comfortable working across sales, product, technology, marketing, and client teams.
  • Experience with CRM, project management, automation, and reporting tools.
  • Experience with SaaS, marketplaces, commerce, tourism, publishing, or ecosystem-based businesses is a plus.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking meaningful ownership.
