POSITION SUMMARY

Directs and coordinates activities of warehouse workers engaged in receiving and distributing building material products by performing the following duties. Directly supervises 5-35 employees in the Warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This position is responsible for maintaining and enforcing all company procedures, policies and practices.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve safety and efficiency of subordinates
  • Maintains harmony among workers and to assist in resolving grievances.
  • Helps prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
  • Works with dedicated carriers for efficient and safe routing of delivery trucks.
  • Responsible for coordinating will call orders in safe and service friendly manner.
  • Responsible for the maintaining and caring for company owned or leased equipment.
  • Accountable to Distribution facility warehouse overtime review and management.
  • Accountable and responsible for high standards of warehouse safety, cleanliness and organization.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as requested.

  • Attendance/Punctuality Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meeting and appointments on time.
  • Work Location This work is critical to be conducted at the assigned office, with remote work not practical.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education

Associates degree or equivalent and at least 2 years of Supervisory experience. Logistic background is a plus.

 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel,

PowerPoint and Word Processing software. SAP helpful
