Policybot is building the data infrastructure that powers how healthcare decisions are made. We normalize and structure complex payer policies to enable clearer coverage decisions, faster patient access, and smarter product strategy. We’re a small, mission-driven team working at the intersection of healthcare, data infrastructure, and AI.
What You’ll DoYou’ll wear many hats and work closely with the cofounders and engineers to keep the engine running and scale up operations. This role is ideal for someone entrepreneurial, highly organized, and excited to make an outsized impact in a small, fast-moving startup. Key responsibilities may include:
Customer Success
Respond to ad hoc customer support requests
Share your domain expertise with customers, consulting on their Policybot integration
Product & Research Analysis
Research health insurer offerings and translate unstructured payer coverage and data into product requirements
Build dashboards to track customer usage and identify at-risk customers
Bug Triage and Workflow Organization
Track and organize incoming bugs or feature requests
Coordinate priorities between product and engineering
AI Tooling and Code Automation
Use AI tools (ChatGPT, CoWork, etc.) to automate our operational processes
Help prototype internal tools to streamline repetitive tasks, such as automating the reporting and triaging of bugs and product requirements
Ops-as-Needed
Take on miscellaneous tasks across customer success, process-building, and data wrangling as they arise
Monitor changes shaping the insurance landscape and identify any broader market trends
A generalist and quick study. You’re comfortable moving between tasks, tools, and domains
Curious about healthcare, excited by startups, and serious about execution
Self-starter: can operate independently with minimal oversight
Detail-oriented organizer who can take chaos and turn it into operational systems
Scrappy, resourceful, and able to figure things out independently to hit tight deadlines
Must-Haves
Based in NYC or Boston area (in-person meetings required occasionally)
Subject matter expert in payer policies, medical billing, prior authorization, pharmacy benefits and related topics
Prior exposure to startups, research teams, or high-paced environments
Comfort with spreadsheets, docs, and AI tools (especially GPT-based tools)
Healthcare industry experience (payer, provider, digital health, etc.)
At least 3+ years of professional healthcare industry experience
1+ years of operations-related experience
Nice-to-Haves
Programming or scripting experience (SQL, or similar)
Experience working with AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, Cowork, etc)
Experience with project and/or product management
Experience working at a tech company with engineering counterparts
Develop expertise in AI tooling
Work directly with experienced co-founders and gain exposure across all parts of the company
Be an early operator with real influence on how the company grows and scales over the next few years
