Join our team at Winthrop Wealth Management as an Operations Associate where you will play a vital role in supporting the execution of financial advice provided by our advisors. In 2026, Winthrop Wealth is focused on one firm-wide mission: Build to Scale — and this role sits at the center of it. This position involves managing day-to-day operational tasks related to client accounts while helping us modernize and scale those operations through the adoption of artificial intelligence and emerging technology. Our Client Operations function is integral to our business, serving as the backbone that empowers our client-facing advisory teams to deliver an exceptional experience. We are seeking a forward-thinking team member who is energized by growth, eager to learn, and ready to help build the foundation for what comes next.
As our Operations Associate, you will:
Drive scalability, profitability, and client satisfaction by:
- Processing account openings, asset transfers, and other transactions in a timely, methodical, and accurate manner
- Playing an active role in the firm's adoption of AI tools — testing, implementing, and training cross-functional teammates on AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual effort and increase operational throughput
- Identifying high-friction or repetitive processes and partnering with leadership to design and implement smarter, more scalable solutions
- Enforcing company policies and providing guidance or training to cross-functional team members on standard procedures
- Maintaining organizational structures for client and firm information
Enhance and support internal client relationships and cross-functional teams by:
- Proactively maintaining and verifying sensitive data across our advisory platform systems on an ongoing basis
- Leveraging AI-assisted communication tools to respond to internal requests and inquiries with greater speed and quality
- Prioritizing incoming requests and delegating tasks to appropriate departments
- Responding to internal client communications promptly
Salary & Performance
On-target earnings (OTE) are estimated to be between $65,000 and $72,500, including salary and discretionary bonus. The target start date is Spring 2026, and the position is in Boston, MA, with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote after our training program.
Operations Associates' performance is assessed against strategic outcomes that may include various Operations Group metrics (such as NIGO rate), execution of short- and long-term projects, and demonstrated consistent alignment with firm core values.
Career Pathways
The Operations Associate role at Winthrop Wealth Management offers significant potential for career growth and advancement. As you gain experience and demonstrate mastery of operational functions — including AI-enabled workflows — you'll have the opportunity to work on cross-functional team projects, collaborating with experts across the firm and developing valuable skills in project management and leadership.
Successful Operations Associates may also grow into the Operations Team's cross-functional subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to colleagues, sharing best practices, and serving as a key point of contact for internal teams.
Beyond this, the foundational skills and knowledge gained in this role — client management, financial processing, compliance, and technology adoption — translate to opportunities across Advisory, Investments, Technology, and Compliance. As Winthrop Wealth builds to scale, Operations Associates are well-positioned to grow with it.
