About Catalyst Fund

Catalyst Fund is a pre-seed high-impact fund backing tech startups that seek to improve the resilience of underserved, climate-vulnerable communities in Africa.  It provides capital and hands-on venture-building support to mission-driven, local and women entrepreneurs. Over the past 7 years, we have backed 61 startups across 15 emerging markets.

Which positions do we seek?

What we seek in candidates:

• Familiarity with financial inclusion and digital financial services innovation for low-income populations, economic development, or the social business sector.
• Familiarity working with different cultures and languages
• Experience with product management for low-income populations and/or in low-connectivity environments (i.e., USSD for SMS-based products)
• Spoken and written language proficiency other than English

Work locations: BFA Global is headquartered in Nairobi and Boston, with a presence in Medellín, New Delhi, Mexico City, Lagos, Madrid, and Paris.
