DBT Developer -Onshore Remote Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
● Develop, maintain, and optimize DBT models, ensuring alignment with business
and technical requirements.
● Configure and manage sources & sources.yml files to maintain data lineage and
integrity.
● Utilize ref macros, custom macros, and materializations to develop reusable and
modular pipelines.
● Implement pre-hooks and post-hooks for advanced transformations, auditing,
and automated checks.
● Manage DBT Seeds for static data storage and integration into models.
● Work closely with Azure Data Factory (ADF) teams to integrate DBT workflows
into data pipelines.
● Implement best practices for version control using Git & Azure DevOps, including
branching strategies, pull requests, and CI/CD integration.
● Collaborate with data engineers, BI teams, and business stakeholders for data
requirement gathering and solution delivery.
● Ensure data quality, scalability, and maintainability of all DBT models and
artifacts.
● Work within Azure Cloud environment, ensuring understanding of RBAC roles &
access controls.
Required Skills & Experience
● Strong knowledge of DBT basics, models, sources, and ref usage.
● Experience with DBT advanced concepts such as Macros, Materializations,
Hooks.
● Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar ETL/ELT
orchestration tools.
● Familiarity with Git version control, Azure DevOps workflows, and CI/CD processes.
● Understanding of Azure Cloud fundamentals & RBAC for secure data access.
● Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts
