Overview:

Our client is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Sales Representative to join our expanding team. This role requires a candidate with an active, transferable book of business within the logistics sector, specifically targeting distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers, retail companies, and packaging companies. The ideal candidate will excel in both maintaining existing client relationships and aggressively pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

Leverage an existing book of business to identify and secure new business opportunities.
Hunt and develop new leads, focusing on expanding the client base within the logistics and supply chain sector.
Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations, tailoring solutions to meet client needs.
Proactively engage in cold calling and other outreach methods to generate new sales leads.

Customer Relationship Management:

Provide exceptional account management and customer support, ensuring a seamless client experience from onboarding through the entire service lifecycle.
Manage and grow existing accounts by nurturing relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Communicate with clients regarding quotes, shipments, and service inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and support.

Strategic Planning & Execution:

Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Collaborate with the internal team to align sales strategies with company goals and market demands.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to adjust strategies and tactics as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience:

A proven track record in sales, with a focus on logistics and supply chain services.
An active, transferable book of business with clients in relevant industries.
Experience in account management or brokerage within the logistics sector is highly desirable.

Skills:

Strong sales acumen with the ability to close deals and drive revenue growth.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
Proficiency in cold calling and other sales outreach techniques.
