What You'll Do
- Assess, plan, and deliver individualized nursing care to pediatric patients across a range of acuity levels
- Administer medications with precision, including weight-based pediatric dosing calculations
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond swiftly to clinical deterioration
- Partner with physicians, specialists, and care teams to execute and adjust care plans
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients' families during stressful and uncertain moments
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
- Uphold patient safety standards and infection control protocols on every shift
What We're Looking For
- Active Texas RN license in good standing (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on pediatric nursing experience
- BLS and PALS certification required
- Proven ability to manage flexible, as-needed scheduling with reliability and professionalism
- Strong clinical assessment skills with a calm, decisive approach under pressure
- A natural ability to connect with children and build trust with anxious parents and caregivers
