Department Overview
The North America Solutions Deployment and Integration (NA SDI) Engineering Operations organization supports our systems engineers and software solution architects in the deployment of our customer-driven, world-class end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges of first responder, government, carrier, utility, transportation, and enterprise customers. The Operations organization assists systems engineers in their effort to ensure the technical integrity of our delivered solutions. We provide a foundation of support to deployment systems engineers, ensuring their access to the people, processes and tools to optimize their day-to-day work at Motorola Solutions.
Job Description

NOTE: This position will have some HYBRID requirements.

Overview:
The Intern will support the NA SDI Engineering Operations team in developing and implementing workflows and processes including: tools, processes, and applications. This role aims to provide a centralized and streamlined approach for systems engineers to efficiently and accurately deploy technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess key stakeholder needs and requirements.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and improve workflows and processes.

  • Contribute to the development of new and existing systems engineering tools and applications.

  • Support the SDI engineering teams in their daily operations.
     

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex topics to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving, data analytics, and data visualization skills.

  • Knowledge of systems engineering and systems integration methodologies.

  • Programming experience preferred, with an emphasis on full-stack web-development and object oriented programming in languages such as Python and C++.

  • Familiarity with the Google Suite of office applications: Docs, Sheets and Slides.

  • Experience developing add-ons and scripting within the Google workspace: Sites, Appscript and Sheets.


Basic Requirements
  • High School Diploma is required.

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree (Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar engineering or technical discipline) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.

  • Students requiring current or future visa sponsorship must be pursuing a minimum of a Master’s Degree in a technical discipline with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
