Nia Therapeutics is developing brain stimulation devices to restore memory function after brain injury and degenerative disease. Our team includes leaders in the fields of engineering, cybersecurity, neuroscience, and neurosurgery, and our core technology has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of patients with memory loss.
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Specialist to join our growing engineering team in Allston, MA. In this critical role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including data analysis of electrophysiological data sets and conducting patient interviews. You will be working side-by-side with engineers and helping to develop our implantable and wearable device platform.
Responsibilities
- Analyze electrophysiological data from preclinical and clinical studies.
- Create visualizations of data from preclinical and clinical studies for scientific reports and marketing materials.
- Write manuscripts for submission to academic journals.
- Conduct interviews with TBI patients.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or other technical discipline.
- 2+ years of research experience in a computational lab.
- Proficiency in python (numpy, pandas, scipy) for data processing and analysis.
- Experience with statistical techniques in R (ANOVA, LME).
- Experience with scientific writing.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with electrophysiological data.
Location and Travel
This in-person position is based at our offices either in Philadelphia PA or Allston, MA. Must be eligible to work in the US. Up to 20% domestic travel required.
