This role provides hands-on support for LAN, WAN, wireless, and security infrastructure, and is an excellent opportunity to grow within a dynamic, modern network environment.

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Support

  • Perform day-to-day operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting of on-premises and cloud-connected network infrastructure.
  • Respond to network incidents, identify root causes, and implement or escalate resolutions in a timely manner.
  • Support global carrier services and connectivity across regional offices.
  • Maintain accurate operational documentation, including network diagrams, runbooks, and change records.
  • Participate in an after-hours/on-call rotation for critical incidents.

Infrastructure Deployment & Maintenance

  • Configure and deploy Aruba and/or Cisco LAN, Wi-Fi, and WAN equipment under the guidance of senior engineers and architects.
  • Assist in the implementation of network changes following established change management processes.
  • Support the lifecycle management of network hardware and software, including patching and firmware upgrades.

Cloud & Hybrid Connectivity

  • Assist in supporting hybrid connectivity between on-premises environments and AWS/Azure, including VPNs and cloud virtual networking constructs (VPCs, VNets).
  • Learn and apply cloud networking concepts to support day-to-day operational needs.

Automation & Tooling

  • Support automation and IaC initiatives by executing and maintaining existing scripts and workflows.
  • Develop basic scripting skills (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) to improve operational efficiency.
  • Build proficiency in Terraform and Git as part of the team's IaC and version control practices, with the expectation of independently managing routine network configurations through code over time.
  • Utilize monitoring and management tools to proactively identify and address network issues.

Firewall & Security

  • Support administration of Check Point firewalls, including assisting with rule reviews and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Assist in maintaining Aruba ClearPass NAC policies for network access control and segmentation.
  • Adhere to Bain Capital's network security standards and best practices across all environments.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of enterprise networking experience in a hands-on operational role.
  • Networking Expertise:
    • Working knowledge of Aruba and/or Cisco LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure.
    • Understanding of core routing and switching protocols and concepts (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, QoS).
    • Familiarity with firewall concepts and basic security policy administration.
    • Exposure to AWS and/or Azure networking fundamentals (VPCs/VNets, routing, VPN connectivity).
  • Operations:
    • Experience working within ITIL-aligned change management and incident response processes.
    • Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and documentation.
    • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem resolution.

Preferred

  • Experience with Check Point firewalls or Aruba ClearPass NAC.
  • Basic scripting experience (Python, Shell, or PowerShell).
  • Some exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform) and version control (Git) is a plus, though hands-on development of these skills is expected as part of the role.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, Aruba Certified Associate, or AWS/Azure networking fundamentals.

Compensation:
