Senior Network Engineer, M&A Network Strategy and Integration (Global IT)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a senior, strategic leader focused on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) network integration to join our Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) team. This individual will be the key driver in defining the strategy, governing the process, and ensuring the successful and compliant integration of network infrastructure from acquired entities. The role demands proven leadership in complex, global environments, a strong command of compliance and risk frameworks, and the ability to partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align network onboarding with Iron Mountain’s security, infrastructure roadmap, and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

M&A Integration Strategy & Governance

  • Lead the network integration lifecycle from initial due diligence and strategic assessment through final operational transition for all acquired organizations.
  • Define the long-term network integration strategy and create high-level migration roadmaps to align acquired environments with Iron Mountain’s global standards.
  • Oversee all network discovery and assessment efforts, translating technical findings into clear business risks, opportunities, and executive recommendations.
  • Ensure program-wide compliance with all security, regulatory, and data privacy standards throughout the integration process.
  • Act as the primary network liaison to Risk, Compliance, Security, and Legal teams to proactively identify and mitigate infrastructural gaps.

Program Management & Delivery Oversight

  • Manage the execution of complex network migration plans, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery in partnership with the Program Management Office (PMO).
  • Provide strategic direction for the implementation of core enterprise network technologies, focusing on standardized, scalable solutions across Data Centers, Cloud Platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS), and Field Offices.
  • Champion the transition to automated and standardized processes for deployment and management, driving operational efficiency for the go-forward environment.
  • Track, monitor, and report key integration metrics, progress, and critical risks directly to IT leadership and M&A steering committees.

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Mentor and provide technical and professional guidance to a team of network engineers and administrators supporting M&A projects.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with global IT sub-functions, external vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners during major project rollouts.
  • Drive the creation and adoption of M&A playbooks, standards, and documentation to institutionalize the integration process.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in enterprise-level networking, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior program management role focused on M&A integration or large-scale transformation.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic decisions for complex network architectures, including technologies like SD-WAN, next-generation security, and multi-cloud networking.
  • Exceptional track record of stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and executive-level reporting across global teams.
  • Strong understanding of network governance, asset management, and capacity planning.
  • Proficiency in leveraging automation and scripting concepts (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) to define enterprise standards and streamline deployments.
  • Exposure to or understanding of key regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA) in the context of IT integration.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and external consultants.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, or advanced technical certifications like CCNP/CCIE) are a plus.
