Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Defining and executing the national OAS strategy to unify regional practices under a cohesive, scalable operating model.

  • Expanding the service portfolio with technology-enabled, advisory-driven solutions that deliver measurable client value and sustainable profitability.

  • Shaping critical business decisions regarding service mix, industry specialization, and client experience standards to achieve profitable growth.

  • Driving market growth through differentiated go-to-market strategies, pricing, and packaging that elevate CBIZ’s competitive position.

  • Developing thought leadership that highlights our competitive differentiation, elevates our reputation in the market, and attracts extraordinary talent to our network.

  • Building and scaling a high-performing team and culture, aligned around best practices, KPIs, and consistent client experience at scale.

  • Developing a national talent strategy, including advisory career pathways, upskilling, and leadership development.

  • Driving operational excellence by establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and standardized processes that ensure accountability, consistency, and efficiency across the national OAS practice.

  • Establishing data-driven metrics aligned with CAS 2.0 benchmarks.

  • Scaling offshore resources to drive efficiency, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Working alongside the OAS Business Transformation team to define and drive a forward-looking technology strategy.

  • Evaluating and prioritizing emerging technologies to ensure the OAS practice remains at the forefront of digital transformation.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional credential.

  • Prior leadership experience in a mid-market or large public accounting firm with exposure to national or multi-regional practice integration.

  • Proven leadership in building, transforming, and scaling a national or multi-region outsourced accounting practice.

  • Track record of innovation in service design and delivery, with demonstrated ability to leverage technology, automation, and process optimization to create scalable, advisory-led solutions.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market trends, client needs, and business objectives into actionable strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive differentiation.

  • Executive presence and the ability to inspire, influence, and collaborate with firm leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams at the highest levels.

  • Financial and operational acumen with a deep understanding of business drivers, margin optimization, pricing models, and performance measurement frameworks.

  • Experience leading in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, with the ability to balance near-term performance with long-term strategic positioning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 10 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 10 years supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
