The National Account Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans that drive growth across key national and regional retail customers. Serving as the primary point of contact for approximately 12 accounts, you will build long-term customer relationships, identify opportunities for business expansion, and partner closely with distributors to ensure retail priorities are executed with excellence.

The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of the Florida and Southeast retail landscape, including experience working with major retailers such as Publix, and an understanding of the market dynamics that influence wine sales and shipments throughout the region. You will analyze account performance, identify opportunities and gaps, and develop action plans to maximize distribution, execution, and overall business results.

The position is best aligned with candidates based in the Southeast region (FL, GA, SC) of the United States and requires approximately 50% travel.

Job Description

  • Drives the development and execution of account specific strategies for strategic and national retail accounts, ensuring alignment with Company goals.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for major retail accounts fostering strong relationships and driving long-term growth.
  • Identifies and capitalizes on new opportunities within existing retail partnerships to expand distribution, increase sales velocity, and enhance brand presence.
  • Partners with regional and state level TWC sales team to drive execution, enhance account management efforts, and manage the relationship and execution of the Wonderful Sales team to endure in-store excellence.
  • Works closely with distributors to streamline supply chain processes, optimize product availability, and enhance overall account performance.
  • Analyzes account performance, develops detailed reports, and implements action plans to drive improvements and maximize results.
  • Stays informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and retail dynamics to proactively address challenges and uncover new opportunities. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in wine and spirits
  • Deep understanding of distributor management, pricing strategy, and sales execution across diverse markets
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 50% throughout assigned territory and other markets, including overnight travel, to support customer and distributor meetings, internal meetings, market visits, and business needs
  • Strong analytical and financial management acumen
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to coach and inspire high-performing teams
  • Experience designing and evaluating incentive programs, promotional plans, and pricing models
  • Strategic thinking and adaptability to evolving market conditions
  • A true passion for premium wines and a commitment to quality, innovation, and long-term brand building

Pay Range: $135,000 - $145,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
