The National Accounts Team is responsible for covering our US Intermediary Firms and Home Office Relationships. The team works collaboratively with stakeholders across MSIM to manage our key relationships and deliver the full capabilities of the firm to our partners.

The National Account Manager – Alternatives Platforms is responsible for growing and maintaining shelf space with existing and emerging Alternatives Platforms and Marketplaces, developing a thorough understanding of client needs and opportunities to enhance partnership, building relationships with key centers of influence, as well as managing the P&L and associated administration functions that come with investment distribution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop meaningful professional relationships with key Alternatives Platforms and Alternatives Marketplace contacts and centers of influence, including executive leadership teams, sales management, product/program managers and others to increase Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), Eaton Vance (EV), and Parametric (PPA) visibility and brand awareness.
  • Build in-depth understanding of the full suite of MSIM, Parametric, and Eaton Vance Alternative investment capabilities and align firm resources at covered firms to maximize business opportunity.
  • Coordinate new product launches and firm initiatives at covered firms to ensure that the full capabilities of MSIM, Parametric, and Eaton Vance are being delivered across key business units to include sales, investment teams, middle-office and back-office functions.
  • Manage contract negotiations, selling agreements, operational set-up, shopping experience, and financial terms between MSIM and EV and covered firms.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the investment management industry in similar and/or related roles.
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter with proven leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently or part of a larger team, with measurable results in a fast paced, challenging environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in communicating esoteric and complex strategies.
  • Ability to drive results, positively influence and leverage relationships.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel as required by client and/or firm business needs.
  • Ability to accommodate a hybrid office schedule when not traveling for business.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Additional investment designations such as CFA, CIMA, or CAIA strongly preferred.
  • Active FINRA Series 7, 65/66, & 63 licenses required.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
