The Optum National Account Manager, 340B Territory Sales Specialist will be responsible for 340B territory sales growth, both through contracting new business and current client contract expansion within a given geographical market. They will be growing the territory also through implementing strategic initiatives as assigned by leadership that fit the needs of the business that are contracting adjacent but important drivers of territory growth. This position will engage with and target both hospital and grantee Covered Entity types to drive sales in the specialty pharmacy, retail/home delivery, infusion and community pharmacy spaces. The position will coordinate efforts with other departments within the 340B team, such as 340B operations, implementations, finance and legal. They will also collaborate with sales and operations teams across the various Optum pharmacy segments. The successful candidate will have a proven track record within the 340B healthcare space, preferably in a sales quota and metric attainment environment, delivering results, building relationships with a customer focus, and promoting revenue growth within 340B programs. The ideal candidate will have a background in both 340B and Pharmacy sales.

The salary for this role will range from $60,000 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop territory sales plan focused on core sales targeting both hospital systems and grantee HRSA designated entities
- Sign new 340B contracts with prospect accounts and expand existing contracts as well
- Host consistent sales calls reviewing our 340B program and projection data with prospective clients
- Research and Identify Sales Targets and prioritize the key opportunities within given geography
- Work closely with the physician field sales teams to research and identify sales targets, driving additional RX capture for 340B contracted health systems within their assigned geography
- Use consultative sales process, probe for customer information and barriers
- Develop creative solutions to gain profitable business
- Create relationships with TPAs, Consultants, and other key 340B external stakeholders
- Close sales and register new accounts during quarterly registration periods with HRSA
- Maintain and update CRM tool for sales pipeline management
- Continually Monitor clients post-contracting for Implementation Go-Live, and client success, tracking client trends to ensure territory growth over time
- Work closely with operations to serve needs of the Covered Entity and optimize their 340B program
- Will analyze 340B activity to understand key drivers and mix by drug, therapy, business segment, etc.
- Track the 340B Dispense data, qualified claims, and supporting information to trend the business
- Participates in exhibits and seminars to promote Optum 340B Services
- Proactively observe and analyze external 340B market and industry trends

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of 340B experience or working knowledge of the space
- Proven data analytical skills
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
- Proficient use of Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years proven sales experience
- Sales experience in 340B contract pharmacy contracting role
- Sales experience working in specialty pharmacy, home delivery and/or infusion pharmacy service role
- Experience working with 340B Program coordinators, Pharmacy Directors, and CFO's within large health systems
- Experience working with Tableau and Salesforce CRM tool
- Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary
- Experience managing a sales pipeline, and developing a strategic territory sales plan to maximize sales results, and delivering on those results against an established quota
- Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and to meet deadlines and deliverables as requested
- Demonstrated existing relationships within the 340B industry
- Demonstrated existing relationships with key stakeholders at hospital systems
