Revvity is seeking a Multimode Detection Sales Specialist to build and maintain our plate reader customer base across Cambridge MA, New England (VT, NH, ME), and Canadian provinces (ON, MB, SK). This role will be instrumental in expanding our market presence and driving high levels of customer satisfaction in this thriving life science hub.

Brief overview of the product lines:

EnVision Nexus: A premium, high throughput multimode plate reader engineered for speed and sensitivity. With advanced detection technologies and revamped design, it is optimized for drug discovery, screening, and other high demand research environments.

EnVision XCite: An industry benchmark multimode microplate reader which combines sensitivity and versatility. A workhorse for a broad array of research applications.

VICTOR Nivo: A compact, filter based multimode reader covering multiple detection technologies including absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, time-resolved fluorescence and alpha in a space-saving design.

VICTOR Kira: A robust, research grade multimode monochromator reader which delivers flexibility across multiple detection technologies and intuitive software.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Territory Management: Manage all business activities for assigned products and accessories
  • Achieve and/or exceed Sales Targets year over year
  • Prospect for new customers and make existing customers aware of new product initiatives
  • Cultivate positive long term relationships with customer accounts including: key opinion leaders, decision makers, end users and procurement
  • Plan and maintain accurate territory pipeline and forecast
  • Accurately configure product quotes
  • Build long-term account strategies to grow business in territory
  • Present, demonstrate and train customers on products & software
  • Execution of prospecting and cross selling initiatives in territory
  • Organize, promote and host events at customer sites
  • Participate in ≤ 25% overnight travel for sales visits, customer events, tradeshows/exhibitions/conferences, training and sales meetings
  • Communicate Revvity’s vision across various scientific workflows and applications
  • Collaborate with other sales teams, application personnel, business teams and distributors to promote & enhance Revvity’s workflow solutions

Basic Qualifications:

  • BSc, MS, or Ph.D. in Life sciences (e.g. biology, biochemistry, immunology preferred)
  • 3+ years in a laboratory setting performing drug discovery research, HTS, immunoassays and assay development with a focus on microplate-based applications       

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters and/or PhD in life sciences preferred.
  • 2+ years sales experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Alternative experiences will be considered including: Direct Expertise with Multimode Plate Readers in a laboratory setting, Field Applications, Field Service, Product Management, Project Management or other functions in the life science industry.
  • Motivated self-starter, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Works well cross-functionally across a variety of business functions
  • Provide sales consultation using both Virtual and F2F selling models
  • Possess strong communication skills working with a wide breadth of personalities: via phone, in writing and in person
  • Passion to stay current with new technologies and applications in the life science market
  • Well organized and excels in dynamic working environment

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with assay data analysis software
  • Experience with or ability to learn CRM (SFDC) analytical software and prospecting tools
