Role Summary
The Multimedia & Content Product Designer is a creative storyteller and content strategist embedded within the Product Design organization. This individual transforms product and user insights into compelling visual and written narratives that deepen understanding and drive adoption of Lessen Pro, Lessen 360, and Aiden AI.
You’ll collaborate closely with product designers, product managers, end users, and target audiences to identify user needs, distill insights, and turn them into content strategies and campaign strategies that resonate with our audiences. You’ll concept and produce multimedia assets—graphics, videos, motion, and copy—that capture the real-world value of our products and the people who use them.
Responsibilities
· Design and produce multimedia assets—graphics, illustrations, videos, motion graphics, and other creative deliverables—for product launches, in-product experiences, websites, and presentations.
· Translate complex product ideas and AI concepts into accessible, visually compelling narratives.
· Collaborate with Product Design, Product and Client Success to align on creative needs across Lessen Pro, Lessen 360, and Aiden AI to concept and execute digital storytelling for new features, campaigns, and educational content.
· Maintain visual consistency across all creative deliverables, adhering to Lessen’s brand and design system.
· Create templates, component libraries, and scalable frameworks for visual content production.
· Conduct user and stakeholder interviews to inform content strategy, visual narratives, and creative direction.
· Perform competitive and market research to identify content trends, creative positioning, and differentiation opportunities.
· Translate user and market insights into storytelling opportunities that support adoption and retention across SaaS and AI products.
· Craft messaging frameworks and narrative angles for product launches.
· Write scripts, headlines, and short-form copy for videos, social media, and digital campaigns.
· Contribute to campaign ideation sessions, ensuring content aligns with audience motivations and brand tone.
· Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining a balance of quality, creativity, and deadlines.
· Stay current with design, motion, and multimedia trends—especially within SaaS, AI, and digital storytelling.

· Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
· Proficiency in Figma or equivalent design tools.
· Experience designing for digital and social channels (video, motion, and static).
· Understanding of UX/UI principles and how creative content supports product adoption.
· Strong writing and storytelling abilities—able to craft clear, concise, and emotionally resonant copy.
· Experience conducting or synthesizing user interviews to inspire creative work.
· Knowledge of persona-driven messaging and creative testing.
· Knowledge of animation principles and best practices for short-form video.
· Familiarity with SaaS, AI, or technology environments preferred.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· Minimum 5 years of professional experience in multimedia, motion, or content design.
· Proven ability to deliver assets across multiple platforms and file formats.
· Strong portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling, brand alignment, and technical proficiency.
· Experience working with SaaS or AI products is preferred.

· This role is an Individual Contributor position.
· Must be located in or able to work from Chicago, IL.
· Portfolio required at time of application.
Pay is determined by several compensable factors, such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
- $75,000.00 - 95,000.00 annually.
