Job PurposeWe are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Integration Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Technology organization. In this role, you will design and implement MuleSoft-based integration solutions supporting the Investment Data Platform and the rollout of a new Derivatives Platform. You will contribute to a long-term strategic initiative focused on unifying, harmonizing, and modernizing investment data across multiple systems.
Requirements
- Design, develop, and implement scalable API services using MuleSoft to integrate investment systems with the Investment Data Platform.
- Collaborate with investment business analysts, EDM data teams, and technology partners to convert business requirements into technical integration designs.
- Build and support critical APIs enabling connectivity for the new Derivatives Platform and other enterprise applications.
- Utilize cloud experience (AWS, Azure) to modernize integration architecture and optimize MuleSoft infrastructure.
- Implement strong monitoring, logging, error handling, and reliability mechanisms across all integration layers.
- Promote and enforce best practices around Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps automation.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders within EDM Technology to support a cohesive and collaborative integration environment.
- Ensure integration solutions meet enterprise standards for performance, scalability, and security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 5–8 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying API integrations within the financial services domain.
- Strong understanding of financial data (instruments, transactions, positions).
- Deep expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API design, API Manager, RAML/OAS specifications, and integration development.
- Hands-on experience building service APIs and messaging integrations using MuleSoft patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and DevOps practices for continuous delivery.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
- Experience working with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native integration patterns.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, transformation, and mapping using JSON, XML, XSLT, and related standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI for API-driven reporting.
- Familiarity with API security frameworks such as OAuth 2.0 or OpenID Connect.
