About the Role
Lendz Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Closing Specialist to join our growing operations team. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth and compliant loan closing process, supporting both first and second mortgage transactions across our Non-QM product suite.
You’ll be responsible for managing loan files from clear-to-close through funding, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate, timely closings. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment and takes pride in precision, communication, and execution.
This is a fully remote position within a distributed team environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the closing and funding process for assigned mortgage loan files, including first and second liens
- Review loan files to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company,
- investor, and regulatory guidelines
- Prepare and review closing documents, including Loan Estimates (LE), Closing
- Disclosures (CD), redisclosures, notes, and security instruments
- Coordinate with borrowers, title companies, attorneys, lenders, and internal teams to facilitate a seamless closing process
- Ensure all closing conditions are cleared prior to funding
- Partner with title companies to resolve title issues and ensure clear closing conditions
- Verify loan terms and documentation comply with applicable federal and state regulations
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Underwriters to address and resolve file-level issues
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all loan transactions in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Deliver a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor pipeline to meet closing timelines and service level expectations (SLAs)
- Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices related to closing and disclosures
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of mortgage closing experience required, including first and/or second liens
- Strong working knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, closing processes, and loan documentation
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple files and priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently
- Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
