The Modern Workplace Engineer implements and manages Microsoft 365 solutions, supports client operations, troubleshoots issues, and ensures security compliance.
As a Modern Workplace Engineer you can expect to…
- Implementation, configuration, technical support and management of Microsoft 365 solutions such as Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, and OneDrive for our clients
- Deploy and manage device and application configurations using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
- Configure and manage Azure Active Directory, including user provisioning, identity governance, and single sign-on
- Provide hands-on support for issues related to modern workplace tools, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with collaboration platforms, device management, and endpoint security: resolving issues related to Microsoft 365 services
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including configurations, processes, and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Implement security policies, including conditional access, data loss prevention (DLP), and mobile device management (MDM)
- Implement and manage security and compliance policies for Microsoft 365
- Migrate on-premises workloads to Microsoft 365
- Assist with any licensing discussions that include Microsoft 365, Power Automate, or Azure

- Providing thought leadership in both system integration and application development
- Staying up-to-date with the latest Microsoft Endpoint Manager technologies and best practices, learning new concepts quickly and thoroughly

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in IT, with a focus on Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive
- Proven experience migrating from Google and Slack platforms
- Experience with Azure Active Directory and identity management, with proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation
- Microsoft 365 certifications such as MS-500, MD-100, MD-101 (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Workplace Administrator Associate) are a plus
- Deep understanding of business process analysis, optimization, and automation principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong client-facing skills, empathy, and ability to guide clients through challenging problems
- The drive and self-sufficiency to work independently, translate goals into action, own the success of your area of work, support and seek support from colleagues when needed
