CTC is a cutting-edge proprietary trading firm with a long-term vision and a clear focus on helping the world price and manage risk. Our fun and trusting culture inspires us to solve the industry’s most challenging problems and take calculated risks in a collaborative environment.
We strive to be the most innovative firm in the industry today, tomorrow, and long into the future while upholding ethical excellence. We believe that CTC makes a positive impact on the markets, the lives of our employees, and all the communities to which we belong. Started in 1995 by a team of forward-thinking Traders, we are proud to call ourselves an industry leader that keeps making markets and each other better.
CTC's Middle Office team acts as an independent control function, partnering with the business to drive integrity in our books and records—ensuring the accuracy of profit & loss (P&L) reporting, trade reconciliation, and valuation between trading desks and clearing partners. With CTC’s expansion into new ventures, our scope is broad and the complexity ever-increasing.
We’re at a pivotal point: Outgrowing legacy reporting in Excel and embracing robust BI and database technologies like SQL/Snowflake, Python, Tableau/Sigma. We're looking for a passionate Senior Analyst to join the team—someone eager to blend analytical rigor, process improvement, and cross-functional partnership as we redesign our reporting, automate workflows, and deliver insights that drive CTC’s growth.
What You Will Do
- Deliver & Enhance Reporting: Own daily and monthly reporting and reconciliations across P&L, capital, volumes, and other key trading metrics for stakeholders such as Trading, Risk, Finance, and Senior Management.
- Elevate Cost Transparency: Oversee fee data governance and mapping and further develop analytics around cost per trade—powering transparency and strategic decisions for our trading teams.
- Financial Analysis with Impact: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on trade and business data, distill complex findings into actionable insights, and present results to business leadership for process, risk, and performance improvements.
- Build Next-Gen Tools: Lead and contribute to the design and implementation of ad-hoc and standardized reports using technology such as SQL, Python, and other BI tools supporting a range of operational and business needs (e.g., reconciliation accuracy, trade flow transparency, and profitability tracking).
- Drive Automation & Scale: Collaborate with Technology and Operations to upgrade manual processes to robust workflows—leveraging modern tools to enable stable, scalable reporting and data integrity.
- Partner Across CTC: Act as a connector across Trading, Operations, and Technology to ensure data consistency, process alignment, and continuous improvement.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 3+ years of experience in a Middle Office, Risk Management, or similar technical role
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python/VBA/R, and Excel
- Experience with partnering with senior stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver reporting solutions using BI/reporting tools (such as Tableau or Sigma)
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record in process improvement, troubleshooting data/reconciliation issues, and delivering clear, concise reporting to a variety of audiences.
- An understanding of financial markets, control functions and accounting concepts
- Self-motivation and intellectual curiosity; desire to continually self-improve and seek continual process and system improvements through increased automation
- Bachelor’s degree in a financial discipline preferred
- Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000, plus a discretionary bonus.
- The discretionary bonus will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and firm performance.
Most teams at CTC, with the exception of Trading, follow a hybrid workplace model, subject to change based on business need.
