Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, is seeking a Mid-level Patent Associate to be resident in the Boston office or work remotely supporting our Boston office. The candidate will provide patent prosecution services in software and electronics IP across an array of industries. Familiarity with software and electronics is required, and experience with health and medicine is a plus. Candidates should have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or an equivalent discipline. Candidates should be familiar with all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution. Prior firm experience and registration with the USPTO is required. Industry work experience is a plus, and experience with patent litigation is a plus.

Ideal associate candidates will have 2 - 5 years of experience.

Candidates must have: an excellent academic record, superior organizational and communication skills (written and oral), a demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service, and a creative and strategic approach to prosecution. The expected pay range for this position is:

$230,000-$340,000 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary critical illness and cancer insurance and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs may also be available in certain markets.
