Description

The MCA Connect Project Director is responsible for directing the successful delivery of enterprise-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformations across CRM (CE), ERP (Finance & Supply Chain), Power Platform, and integrations. Our programs typically consist of either multiple sites or multiple platforms being implemented simultaneously. The typical program size and complexity is multiple years in duration involving up to 50 multi-disciplined implementation team members across many client locations. Our programs are major strategic investments for our clients and their successful execution requires a Project Director who is driven, proactive, creative, and assertive.

 

You will be supported by a strong project team of solution architects, developers, and technical consultants but will need a strong background in project management and business process optimization and to have or develop a solid working knowledge with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.

 

While your primary function will be client facing, from time to time, we may also ask you to assist with other functions including sales and marketing, implementation-related tasks, and methodology and project management tool-related activities. This is a full-time salaried position with bonus.

Responsibilities

    Program Management (70%):

    • Manage high risk, high complexity programs.
    • Provide leadership to all functional and business areas affected by the program
    • Work closely with MCA Connect resource management to ensure adequate allocation of resources
    • Develops and manage detailed project plans, cost estimates, resource plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans and issue resolution plans
    • Drive project decisions and recommendations to management about schedules, prioritization, and resource allocation.
    • Manages deliverables, scope & expectations

      Communication and Collaboration (25%):

      • Proactively communicates and reports status to executives, MCA Connect management and all other stakeholders. This is done leveraging tools such as status reports, executive briefings, and active day to day team communication.
      • Effectively communicates and collaborates with technical project team members to achieve program goals.
      • Employs project management leading practices as provided by PMI and MCA Connect delivery standards.
      • Provides leadership to project team members with respect to project management processes and best practices.

        Financial Responsibility (5%):

        • The MCA Connect Project Director is directly responsible for managing the overall budget and providing the predictive financial analysis required to deliver accurate project status.
        • The Project Director will support the MCA Connect professional services management team by reviewing customer invoicing, monitoring accounts receivable, and providing overall program-level input to our forecasting models.

Qualifications

    • More than 10 years of experience directly managing large-scale IT deployments, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE/CRM), in enterprise environments
    • PMI certified
    • Experience with IT implementation methodology across all phases of Diagnosis, Analysis, Design, Development, Deployment, and Operations
    • Understanding of complete Dynamics 365 solution within the context of an integrated enterprise-wide IT strategy
    • Well-developed planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • Highly developed business acumen
    • Ability to work closely with key business stakeholders to communicate progress and vision.
    • Ability to allocate the correct resources to each project phase and monitor their performance
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Consensus-driven management style that supports a broad set of stakeholders
    • Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Desired Qualifications

    • Microsoft SureStep certified
    • Experience implementing more than ten full life-cycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and/or CRM projects
    • Experience with Microsoft platform of technologies
    • Experience in manufacturing industry
    • Pre-sales and project estimation experience
    • Six Sigma certification or training
    • Mastery of industry-standard project management tools
