The Mathematician will design, tune, and own PAR sheets for slot games, conduct Monte Carlo simulations, and create effective gaming mechanics.
Trivelta builds the technology that powers modern, social-first gaming experiences. Through our proprietary sportsbook and casino engine, we enable partners to launch their own fully branded, legally compliant gaming products. We have a number of international partners already demonstrating the power of the Trivelta platform—combining real social interactions, predictive gameplay, and casino entertainment in one unified experience.
We’re looking for a Slot and Casino Game Mathematician to own the math design and tuning of our slot-style games, with a heavy emphasis on PAR sheet development and iterative balancing to improve player session length while maintaining target RTP/volatility profiles. This is a role that partners closely with Engineering to develop creative designs from early stage concept models through testing, analysis, and optimization to provide engineering with a clear blueprint for the development of the product. The work demands an intuitive understanding of probability and the ability to produce Monte Carlo simulations in Python.

Responsibilities
- Build and own complex PAR sheets (base game + features), including assumptions, constraints, and documentation
- Design and tune RTP, volatility, hit rate, feature frequency, and payout distribution to meet product goals through Monte Carlo simulations.
- Create creative concepts and mechanics and convert them into finely tuned mathematical models.
- Create models that are not only accurate, but also optimally efficient for engineering implementation.
- Research and deploy methods to enhance user experience and improve player engagement.
Qualifications:
- BS in STEM (math/stats/CS/engineering/econ) or equivalent experience.
- Experience with the development and implementation of casino games.
- Strong command of PAR sheet construction and the full slot math lifecycle
- High proficiency with Excel/Sheets for PAR work; strong ability to build reliable, auditable models
- Programming/simulation skills in Python (or similar) for large-scale testing and tuning.
- Experience using player/telemetry metrics to tune toward outcomes like session length and engagement (within math constraints).
