Worksite Business Growth Marketing Lead
The Opportunity
As a member of the Worksite Strategic Marketing leadership team, you will work closely with two dynamic organizations – the Worksite business and the Marketing Centers of Excellence (COE). You will bring deep understanding of the Worksite marketplace allowing you to have meaningful conversations and immediate impact with your business partners, as well as thoughtful and strategic engagement with the Marketing COE teams.
Specifically, you will be responsible to develop and drive the marketing strategy to support worksite business growth goals and initiatives with specific marketing programs that are executed via the Marketing COE, under your direction and with their SME input.
This role is responsible for designing unique messaging and positioning for MassMutual products, growth and retention needs targeted at the various advisor and third-party partners distributors in the Worksite channel.
The Team
The Worksite Strategic Marketing team is a team within a newly formed and organized Marketing & Brand organization, that will be supporting a growth business at MassMutual. The team is being led by a new marketing leader that joined the MassMutual Marketing & Brand team in March 2021 and there are two additional marketing people on the team.

The Impact:
- Analyze unique distribution, partner, target buyer and end participant insights and business drivers to design targeting messaging and marketing campaign design.
- Develop marketing insights and creative briefs to align with campaigns and engage with Marketing COE teams to execute marketing materials and campaigns
- Design and manage critical marketing growth programs to increase key Worksite business metrics around enrollment, sales, advisor and customer onboarding and retention
- Engage with Worksite Distribution and Internal Sales teams to design ongoing marketing communications such as Worksite QuickHits, Broker News and FieldNet News updates and general Worksite Communications support
- Develop Worksite brand and value add programs to support distribution value in the market – ex: Thought Leadership, Events support, Awards programs etc.
The Minimum Qualifications
- 10 plus years' experience in marketing, strategy, and Worksite/financial services along with a solid understanding of an integrated customer sales process of B2BtoB2C.
- Understanding of the Worksite business, voluntary benefits, VUL, DI landscape including competitive environment, customer challenges, and industry and regulatory trends.
- Ability to engage with a cross-functional team operating within COE to support engagement, creative and measurement execution.
- Collaborative leader who can support and respect other within matrixed teams
- Proven success juggling multiple priorities through strong project management skills, attention to detail, leadership, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data and insights in order to provide clear direction for marketing briefs and strategic planning
- Demonstrated ability to impact and influence peers
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Team Leader
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
The Ideal Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree and Product Owner/Agile certifications Preferred
- Based in Boston MA with occasional WFH ability and occasional travel to Springfield MA Home Office
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
