Role Overview

As our in house SEO expert, you will work to enable the Flock’s success by helping grow and optimize our web presence, and that of our products and content. You will work with the marketing front-end engineering group to develop our technical SEO strategy for all frontend customer touchpoints for Flock. The ideal candidate cares about making a business impact, is an expert in on-page and off-page SEO, and has successfully used SEO as an organic growth strategy in previous roles.

What is the Job like?

• You will devise tactical and strategic initiatives to help Flock rank in the first three results for our core in-market keywords across desktop and mobile websites
• Audit our domains and web presence to keep our websites error free and SEO best-practice compliant
• Achieve web traffic growth that is attributable to improvements in technical SEO
• Optimize and improve technical SEO for Flock across owned web properties for better discoverability and organic search reach
• Recommend to the web development team, content team, and performance marketing team high impact keyword opps 
• Participate in the redesign of Flock.com as we move towards a multi-product web presence, and make recommendations as we operationalize the change
• Optimize SEO to support diverse clients from high powered desktop computers to small footprint mobile devices

Who should apply for this Role?

• You have extensive experience (5+ years) in front-end technologies in marketing tech (experience in SaaS/e-commerce is a bonus!)
• You’ve managed technical SEO for a company with 1 million+ monthly visitors, and have made an impact in your current or previous roles
• You have extensive experience in SEO and marketing tech - including Google Search Console, Google Analytics
• Have deep experience optimizing at-least one top-tier CMS (experience with Wordpress and Hubspot is highly desirable)
• You have a working knowledge of web-technologies including HTML5, Javascript and CSS
• You know how to move a page that’s ranking on page 3 of the SERP to page 1
• You know what a ‘Featured Snippet’ on Google is, and you know how to get your website to start showing up in them
• You’re a pro at technical SEO implementation and have demonstrated your impact through boosting website traffic and organic search traffic metrics
• You have an experimental mindset and are not afraid to try new things
