About the team
Drift’s Product Marketing brings new products and features to market in order to delight customers. This means the team researches and writes the positioning, enables other internal teams for GTM and manages the launch itself. The product marketing team is focused on crafting and telling a story that connects our deep understanding of our customers and market with the magic of our products.
What you’ll be doing on the team:
In one month you'll
- Have spoken to dozens of customers (or listened to their calls)
- Have used our product extensively, including building chatbots and setting up an account for a new customer
- Have written a case study about a Drift customer
- Have written a positioning doc for an upcoming product launch
- Meet with key members of our customer and product management teams
- Taken ownership of our weekly product announcement engine
By month 3 you'll
- Have taken complete ownership of your area of the Drift Chat product
- Have managed a launch for at least one new feature
- Have mastered the Drift product and a deep understanding of the industry
- Fully understand our internal ecosystem and be able to collaborate cross-functionally
By month 6 you'll
- Have successfully launched multiple new features to market and improved our launch engine
- Have a deep understanding of our customer’s needs and how our product solves their problems
- Know the magic that connects our product with our customers and embed that into every launch you manage, content you write and conversation you have
- Built several new engines for our GTM motion
About you and what type of skills you’ll need:
- Minimum 2 years of product marketing experience at a SaaS company
- You have strong writing skills and many examples of your work
- You can research, dig beyond what’s on the surface and uncover the truth
- You are inherently curious and ask a lot of questions
- Bonus points if you’re a marketing or sales nerd, you eat, breath and sleep this stuff
- Bonus points if you’ve been a Drift customer
