Product Marketing Research and Content Manager

 

Are you interested in developing provocative original research and turning it into a compelling narrative to drive market awareness and help customers understand market trends? CA is looking for an experienced market research leader who can define thought leadership research, work with vendors to execute global studies, and build and promote content to leverage the research for awareness, demand generation and sales enablement. You should be experienced in research, an excellent communicator, story teller, writer and creative content creator able to collaborate across a wide diversity of teams to accomplish objectives.

 

This role includes both responsibility for driving original research projects and content as well as coordinating research efforts across CA’s business units and providing advice and guidance on best practices as a research subject-matter expert.

 

Major responsibilities (direct research)

  • Define and drive original thought leadership research programs based on corporate and business unit strategies and directions
  • Identify and work with research vendors to execute global primary research projects
  • Assess research results and develop compelling narratives to be used to promote research to various audiences – press, partners, sales teams and end-customers (direct as well as through digital engagement)
  • Develop a wide array of digital content based on the research,  e.g. papers, opinion pieces, articles, blog posts, infographics, videos, slide shows, social graphics, assessment tools, etc.
  • Conduct briefings on the research results with multiple audiences – senior executive spokespeople, sales, pre-sales, partner teams, business unit marketing, field marketing, and global communications/PR teams.
  • Promote the research through social channels, webcasts, digital advertising, events and other vehicles.
  • Develop and track appropriate metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the research results and efforts.

 

Major responsibilities (research coordination)

  • Work collaboratively across multiple business units to understand their research needs and develop recommendations on how efforts might be combined for better effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide advice on recommended research vendors, budget guidance, how to specify research projects via RFPs, and help reviewing planned survey questions.
  • Assist in building additional content to support the rollout of the research.

 

 Required skills/experience

  • Direct experience with B2B thought leadership research projects in the enterprise software market, either as a client sponsor or within a research or analyst firm.
  • Strong analytical skills, familiarity with Excel modeling and analysis
  • Ability to story-tell and create compelling content and narratives based on the research
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills -- ability to effectively convey information to a wide variety of external and internal audiences (including senior executives).
  • Solid writing and editing abilities, experience creating original short and long-form articles and/or blogs
  • Track record of driving effective cross-functional, collaborative projects
