Position Overview

As a Performance Marketing Associate, you are responsible for monitoring, understanding and optimizing usage and performance of the Company’s internal mail program. You will dig into the data to understand the performance of the program, diagnosing any issues arising from its usage, and relaying findings accordingly to various stakeholders.  Reporting to the Manager, Performance Marketing, this team is currently remote but will move to a hybrid schedule in the next 3 - 6 months.

Success in this role is based on your ability to develop a level of expertise in understanding our internal mail platform and developing a data-driven approach to optimizing its capacity and use.  Your main responsibility will be to oversee the data and analytics that strives to optimize monetization of the program. 

 Responsibilities

  • Execute performance standards, methods of monitoring these standards and protocol to communicate them on an exception basis
  • Execute ad hoc and standard testing plans so as to troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Work with your counterparts in Engineering and Customer Success to address performance issues with our mail platform
  • Assess potential risk/flaws in current processes and suggest remediation strategies
  • Identify and streamline business processes related to daily workflow

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a performance marketing, email marketing or similar operations team
  • Two years of experience with SQL and experience with large data sets
  • A basic understanding of the modern email marketing landscape,its compliance environment, how the internet works and how emails are transmitted and delivered
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Excel
  • Self starter with fantastic communication skills
  • High level of natural curiosity and innate desire to provide excellent customer service
  • Availability for off-hours, scheduled “pager duty”
  • Bonus points for familiarity with Python
