Indigo Ag pioneers innovative ways to drive sustainability and profitability in agriculture. The Marketing Director, Research & Insights, will uncover and communicate critical insights to help marketers tell our ground-breaking story to new and existing stakeholders. Among our key audiences are farmers and agribusinesses, as well as corporations seeking to reduce their carbon footprint through sustainability goals. The Marketing Director will become a strategic source of information to the Marketing department on stakeholder needs, beliefs, and behaviors through primary and secondary research, internal data-mining, information synthesis and advanced communication skills. The role is also responsible for helping the department to measure and report on marketing performance.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Marketing leadership to identify key business questions and formulate plans to answer them
  • Partner across the Marketing team to propose research options for delivering required insights that support brand development and achievement of business goals for multiple product lines
  • Develop and communicate a Research & Insights plan based on Marketing department priorities and budget
  • Become a go-to source for customer, competitor, and market insights within the Marketing department by building an understanding of the business and personally engaging with research findings
  • Select and oversee vendors for outsourced projects
  • Develop and deliver performance scorecards and dashboards that reflect and report on progress in executing against marketing strategy

Skills & Qualifications

  • Able to transform large amounts of data into concise findings that inform strategy decisions
  • Expert at quantitative and qualitative research and experienced with major research methodologies and tools
  • Experience designing, conducting, analyzing and reporting related to research projects
  • Experience working with marketers to build performance measurement plans and scorecards linked to strategic business plans
  • Ideal candidate has established, built, and scaled a Research & Insights function
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
