Marketing Consultant- Investments

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking a strong, experienced contributor within our investments focused business as we continue to build our brand, product breadth and distribution focus. Breadth of skills are welcome, although the ideal candidate should have experience marketing investment products to intermediary advisers, consultants and home offices.

 

Must be adept at helping to create marketing project schedules, keeping track of deliverables and working with key business stakeholders, including sales, product and compliance teams to assist with marketing campaigns and conference management. Additional activities include coordinating literature updates with the design team, investment colleagues as well as coordination of marketing activities including webinars and conferences.

The Marketing & Brand organization is a newly formed enterprise marketing function that strives to drive best in class marketing strategy and execution while creating exceptional customer experiences and growth for our customers, partners, and our communities. The Marketing & Brand organization is responsible for driving business growth, building and communicating our core brand values and goals 

 

MassMutual Investments includes a leading investment management firm that works through various intermediary distribution channels. We deliver unique investment solutions leveraging institutional asset managers with an emphasis on consistent out-performance. We are seeking an experienced investment marketer to join the MassMutual Institutional Solutions marketing team to support the growth of our investment only business line.

 

The Impact

The Marketing Consultant-Investments, will:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and tactics.
  • Support production of sales collateral, web content, email, digital and print advertisements, and social media campaigns.
  • Work with marketing analytics team to measure effectiveness of campaign efforts through established key performance indicators (KPI's) and adjust accordingly.
  • Coordinate collateral updates with business colleagues, as well as MassMutual brand, design and compliance teams.
  • Coordinate and participate in MassMutual Investments sponsored conferences and events as well as webinars and conference calls with advisors and intermediaries.
  • Develop and maintain a process workflow that ensures consistent execution and delivery of marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain a process for managing print-on-demand marketing material and premium swag.
  • Maintain and manage internal marketing portal where field sales access marketing material on SharePoint and website.
  • Work within MassMutual Center of Excellence (COE) marketing model and take ownership of coordinating deliverables across the organization.
  • Help facilitate and coordinate communications to the field sales team keeping them up to date on marketing updates through internal emails, newsletter and/or SharePoint.

 

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of related work experience in financial services marketing, ideally in the mutual fund or asset management industry.
  • Thorough understanding of intermediary distribution with ability to leverage this knowledge to develop, launch and manage product and value-add campaigns that resonate with respective audiences.
  • Knowledge of investment products, such as mutual funds and CITs, and the regulatory/compliance frameworks needed to support successful marketing programs within this framework.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to lead complex projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with MS PowerPoint, Word and use of slide/document template.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Motivated, self-directed, and ability to think creatively.
  • Successful track record of building relationships with internal and external colleagues

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Digital marketing experience a plus.
