Copywriter - CRM
DraftKings is a leading sports entertainment brand that creates the most exciting digital sports competitions and experiences on the planet. Our goal is to transform the way fans experience sports. We are looking for an experienced copywriter who can elevate our internal creative group and establish DraftKings as one of the most creative, innovative and meaningful brands in sports.
Responsibilities
The Copywriter - CRM will be a member of the Brand Marketing & Creative team, reporting into the Creative Director. The successful candidate will develop campaigns and creative executions across channels to build the DraftKings brand and business. Specific areas of focus:
- Partner with Designers to develop an overarching voice & system for our CRM activities
- Write copy for email, site/app pushes and social platforms
- Strike the balance between brand and retention/reactivation messaging
- Establish an authentic “fan-to-fan” tone to build relationships with our target
- Help develop ideas for promotions, activations and events
- Leverage the New Media team’s content
- Proactively develop ideas that establish DraftKings as an innovative early-adopter of technologies that bring Sports Fans closer to the games they love
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has the following key attributes: creativity, collaborative spirit, confidence, initiative and enthusiasm. Specifically,
- 3-5 years experience
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience developing creative ideas for major B-to-C brands
- Demonstrated understanding of modern marketing (digital, experiential & social)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to roll-up sleeves and get the work -- big and small – done
- Avid sports fan and fantasy sports enthusiast
- Agency experience a plus
