What You’ll DoAs a Marketing Operations Strategist, you'll play a crucial role in executing and optimizing our marketing systems and processes. Your work will ensure that our marketing initiatives are data-driven, efficient, and scalable. You’ll bring a strategic mindset, technical know-how, and a collaborative approach to solving problems and driving impact across the Marketing organization.
- Execute and Optimize Workflows: Implement and refine marketing workflows, including campaign execution, lead management, and audience segmentation, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Maintain and Enhance Martech Stack: Manage and optimize key marketing platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, 6Sense, Marketo Measure, and Chili Piper to support marketing initiatives.
- Data Integrity and Management: Ensure data cleanliness and integrity across systems, facilitating accurate reporting and effective decision-making.
- Process Documentation: Create and maintain documentation of marketing processes and system configurations to support team knowledge sharing and onboarding.
- Support Cross-Functional Collaboration: Assist in coordinating with teams like Revenue Operations, Sales, and the broader Marketing Organization to align marketing operations with broader business objectives.

You’re curious, resourceful, and detail-oriented, with a passion for supporting marketing programs through clean data, scalable processes, and dependable execution.
The minimum qualifications for this role include:
- 4+ years of experience in Marketing Operations or Marketing Automation
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Marketo, and connected Martech tools (e.g., 6sense, Marketo Measure, Chili Piper)
- Working knowledge of campaign execution workflows, lead flow management, and marketing data integration
- Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose issues and implement efficient solutions
- Strong documentation and process improvement skills
Preferred qualifications include:
- Exposure to tools like Gainsight, Pendo, Intercom, and customer advocacy platforms
- Comfort working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving needs
- Experience with data integration and management across multiple marketing platforms.
- Knowledge of marketing performance metrics and KPIs.
Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots by:
- Completing onboarding and meeting key partners within Marketing and Operations
- Getting familiar with Sprout’s customer lifecycle programs and operational tools
- Identifying early opportunities for improvement in workflows and systems
Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:
- Taking ownership of assigned workflows and campaign execution support
- Documenting current-state systems and processes related to the customer funnel
- Contributing to updates and optimizations in collaboration with team leads
Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact by:
- Executing key enhancements that improve efficiency, data integrity, and scale
- Providing thoughtful recommendations to improve processes and reporting
- Becoming a go-to resource for customer campaign execution within Marketing Ops
Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:
- Propose and implement enhancements to the marketing technology stack.
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for marketing operations scalability and effectiveness.

Whenever possible, Sprout wants to provide our team with the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many places in the United States. However, we are not set up in all states, so please look at the drop-down box in our application to see whether your state is listed. Few roles require an office setting. If your position requires a physical presence in a Sprout office, it will be evident in the job listing and your offer letter.
Individual base pay is based on various factors, including work location, relevant experience and skills, the responsibility of the role, and job duties/requirements. In the United States, we have two geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires are:
- Zone 1 (New York, California, Washington): $74,944.00 (min), $94,900.00 (mid), $113,916.00 (max) USD annually
- Zone 2 (All other US states): $69,000.00(min), $86,300.00 (mid), $103,600.00 (max) USD annually
The listed ranges represent the full earning potential in this position. Starting salaries for well-qualified new hires are typically around the midpoint of the range. These ranges were determined by a market-based compensation approach; we used data from trusted third-party compensation sources to set equitable, consistent, and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation bi-annually, identify any changes in the market and make adjustments to our ranges and existing employee compensation as needed.
Base pay is only one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every Sprout team member has an opportunity to receive restricted stock units (RSUs) under Sprout’s equity plan. Employees (and their dependents) are covered by medical, dental, vision, basic life, accidental death, and dismemberment insurance, and Modern Health (a wellness benefit). Employees are able to enroll in Sprout’s company’s 401k plan, in which Sprout will match 50% of your contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution. Sprout offers “Flexible Paid Time Off” and ten paid holidays.
