Overview

MongoDB is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and detail-oriented Marketing Operations Manager to join our Marketing Operations department, specifically the Technology & Automation team. This role will focus on owning and managing the project management tools and their processes used by our Marketing department.

You will be instrumental in configuring and maintaining project management platforms, developing and optimizing workflows, and enhancing collaboration across teams in projects. You will also lead adoption efforts, ensure tools are aligned with team needs, and support operational excellence through data-driven insights. This is a high-impact role designed to help marketing scale efficiently through thoughtful system design and cross-functional partnership.

This role can based anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • System Ownership: Serve as the system owner of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Workfront, Monday.com, Wrike, etc…), ensuring they are optimized for usability, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives
  • Workflow Management: Collaborate with Marketing and Marketing Ops teams to design, implement, and evolve workflows that enhance productivity and drive operational consistency
  • Tool Adoption & Configuration: Champion the adoption of project management platforms, configuring and maintaining systems to support changing team structures and priorities
  • Reporting: Build, maintain, and share clear and actionable reports to support visibility and data-driven decision-making within project management and operations
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a connector between Marketing, Ops, and other teams to facilitate smooth communication and optimize shared processes
  • Project & Initiative Support: Collaborate on broader Marketing Operations initiatives and projects, working closely with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and timely execution
  • Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain documentation and training materials, including process guidelines, intake procedures, and project management templates
  • Change Management & Enablement: Support training and enablement programs to help drive tool adoption, ensuring successful change management across teams
  • Multi-Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities with efficiency and attention to detail
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and ambiguous environment where quick thinking and proactive problem-solving are key
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Work/Project management, specifically in Marketing or Marketing Operations
  • Proven hands-on experience with project management tools, including implementation and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of project management best practices, including workflow and process optimization
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, using data to drive business insights and improvements
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across diverse teams

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

$70,000$138,000 USD
