We’re the largest and fastest-growing AI-native tax solution. Today, we serve more than 3,500 global businesses, including companies like Supabase, Eight Sleep, and Graza. We’ve grown quickly across our core e-commerce and software segments, more than tripled our revenue every year, and expanded into new industries, including manufacturing, distribution, and wholesale.

Numeral has raised over $157M from Insight Partners, Salesforce Ventures, Benchmark, Mayfield, Y Combinator, and many others.

About the role:

We are looking for a strategic, systems-minded Marketing Operations Manager to lead the infrastructure, technology, and operational engine that powers our marketing organization. This founding role will build our Marketing Operations function from the ground up and help architect the backbone for the next phase of Numeral’s growth journey.

Reporting to the Head of Growth, this team member sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and technical execution, owning the marketing technology stack and ensuring every system, process, and data flow is instrumented, automated, and built to scale. In this hands-on role, you will develop strategy-aligned processes, manage marketing automation, and buy and build additional solutions – in order to deliver reliable data, trustworthy reporting, clean automation, and compliant processes across all products and the full spectrum of buyers.

If you’re a Marketing Operations leader who thrives on building and you’re looking for strategic impact, this is an opportunity you won’t find anywhere else!

What you'll do:
  • Own and maintain our marketing technology stack (HubSpot, Salesforce, Dreamdata, Google Tag Manager, and our ad platforms), including integrations that ensure a consistent, accurate view of every contact and account

  • Build the feedback loop that passes conversion signals and expected deal value from our CRM back to ad platforms (Google, Meta, Reddit, TikTok, X) to improve targeting and bidding

  • Partner with Growth to ensure the right targeting strategy across ad platforms

  • Replace manual spend tracking with automated reporting on ad spend, aggregate spend, and pipeline by channel

  • Create and mature attribution capabilities to deliver clear information and practical insights; your work will provide the heartbeat of our GTM intelligence

  • Own the architecture and performance of the inbound pipeline, including website forms, routing logic, and sales handoff workflows

  • Work alongside RevOps to support the Salesforce data model, lifecycle stages, and lead routing, and ensure data integrity and CRM quality

  • Independently analyze top-of-funnel metrics and present actionable recommendations for campaign improvements to stakeholders

What you'll bring:
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing operations, growth operations, or a related GTM role, with demonstrated ownership of the marketing tech stack

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce and HubSpot

  • Direct experience working within online ad platforms (e.g., Google, Meta, Reddit, TikTok, X, Trade Desk)

  • Experience with conversion tracking and tagging (e.g., Google Tag Manager, offline conversions, conversion APIs)

  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to instrument funnels, interpret attribution data, and translate findings into operational recommendations

  • Experience synthesizing complex operational data into clear reporting and a compelling narrative for leadership

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously

  • Track record of operating as a team of one: disciplined documentation, systems thinking, and the judgment to prioritize high-leverage work

Nice to haves:
  • Experience with attribution tools (Dreamdata, HockeyStack, Bizible, etc.)

  • SQL or BI tools (Hex, Looker, etc.)

  • Experience at a company with big paid media spend (B2B or B2C)

Location:
  • This role is hybrid (3 days a week in our SF or NYC office) or remote

What we offer:
  • Competitive salary and equity - you'll share directly in the company's success

  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Wellness perks like Headspace and the Peloton One App

  • 401(k) to help you build long-term financial security

  • Relocation assistance to NYC or SF (if needed)

  • Lunch and snacks when you're in the office

  • Regular team offsites and company events as we grow

  • A culture built on ownership - your work matters and people will see it!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
