About the Role

We’re an early-stage startup seeking an experienced, creative, and AI-forward Marketing Manager to help grow and scale our marketing efforts. In this role, you’ll develop, test, and expand customer acquisition channels, with a strong emphasis on building scalable channels beyond paid advertising.

You’ll be responsible for identifying new growth opportunities, experimenting quickly, improving campaign performance, and helping our product reach far and wide. With our product-led growth strategy, you’ll collaborate across teams to fuel customer acquisition, improve engagement, and expand our customer base.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, onboard, evaluate, and optimize new marketing channels to drive significant lead volume within target customer acquisition costs.
  • Build and scale marketing channels from zero to meaningful reach, especially outside of paid channels.
  • Use AI tools heavily to improve marketing workflows, accelerate experimentation, generate creative concepts, and scale campaign execution.
  • Develop strong written content for ads, emails, landing pages, campaigns, and other marketing materials.
  • Build a library of creative concepts to communicate value to different buyer personas.
  • Improve middle-of-funnel conversion rates through messaging and tactics that optimize customer engagement and retention.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance creative quality and performance in digital marketing campaigns.
Qualifications
  • You have strong startup experience and are comfortable working in a fast-moving, resourceful environment.
  • You are a heavy user of AI tools and know how to apply them to grow, automate, and scale marketing efforts.
  • You have experience scaling a marketing channel from zero to significant reach, ideally beyond paid acquisition.
  • You love brainstorming new concepts, ad creatives, campaign ideas, and messaging.
  • You have experience acquiring small businesses and prosumer customers.
  • You understand how to assess campaign impact and estimate the effort needed to generate results.
  • You can manage multiple projects simultaneously and identify the fastest path to value.
  • You bring a full stack of marketing skills, from ideation to execution and analysis.
  • You have experience managing paid digital marketing campaigns.
  • You have excellent command of the English language and are a strong writer.
  • You’re able to create compelling content for ads, emails, landing pages, and campaigns.
  • You have a creative mindset and an eye for design, brand, and visual communication, and have used that ability to author copy, images, and videos with AI assistance.
  • You have at least 3 years of marketing experience, including at least 1 year in a senior role.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
